PRESS RELEASE: VimlyHost Restructuring 2019-01-07 06:09 by Support Team

We are happy to announce that VimlyHost will no longer be closing. However, a number of major changes will be occurring and existing Free Hosting plans will still be cancelled.

Some notable changes which will occur are as follow:

  • Free Hosting accounts ordered before December 31st 2018 will be cancelled on January 27th 2019, as Server DCT & Server467 are being discontinued from our network. Unfortunately, we are unable to mass migrate existing customers to our new server due to system restrictions.

  • New Free Hosting plans will be reduced to 1 Domain, 0.5GB Storage & 10GB Bandwidth.

  • Paid Hosting plans will be restructured to include Unlimited Storage & Bandwidth and there will be a set of Budget Plans & Premium Plans.

Paid Plans will allow you to host up to unlimited websites from £1 Per Month (Pre-Paid Annually) with Unlimited Storage & Bandwidth.

All revenue from paid plans will be used by VimlyHost to cover server expenses, and to allow us to offer free plans.

  • We will be completely redesigning our website to have a more modern design and we will no longer be offering or advertising Reseller Hosting or VPS Servers.

Migrating to a New Account

Unfortunately, we are unable to migrate customers accounts on request due to the high demand for migrations.

However, it is possible for you to migrate the account yourself by following these steps:

  1. Login to your Existing Hosting Account

  2. Choose Backup or Backup Wizzard under FILES.

  3. Click under Partial Backups, Download a Home Directory Backup and Download a MySQL Database Backup, download the compress files on your local PC.

  4. Order a new account and login and follow the same steps to get you to the Backup menu.

  5. Click Choose File under Restore a Home Directory Backup and click Upload, proceed the same with the MySQL backups under Restore a MySQL Database Backup.

If you have any difficulties with this process, please contact our migrations team and we will do the best to assist you. A paid migration service is available on request if required, please contact the billing team for more information.
